Hello readers, this is the third post today. Every mid-month, I disclose my net worth in this blog.
Using last Friday’s exchange rate between Japanese yen and US dollar my net worth(s) are ¥93,957,061 (+1.1% MOM) and $833,100 (-1.1 MOM) respectively. These consist of cash, stocks and non-national pensions. So only the pensions cannot be liquidated until I turn 60.
If I use the simple exchange rate $1 = JPY 100, my net worth is JPY 87,827,539 which is a 0.1% decline from the last month.
54% of my asset is held in US$ while the balance is held in JPY.
The reason for the decline are as follows.
- Depreciation of my US portfolio
- I spent lavishly so that the saving was smaller than usual
As I will lose my paycheck, I will observe only declines in my net worth going forward unless I return to work.
