On June 20th I added 50 shares to my position in Vector Group (VGR), specifically at $21.50 plus $1 commision to IB. With this purchase, my position in VGR has increased to 165 shares and YOC has become 10.8%. VGR is not a dividend growth stock, but distribute shares to existing shareholders once a year.
Vector Group Ltd, through its subsidiaries, is engaged in the manufacture and sale of cigarettes in the United States and the real estate business. Its business segment includes: Tobacco, E-Cigarettes and Real Estate. It has paid dividend more than its free cash flow during the past decade except 2007. I don’t know why VGR can keep paying such fat dividends.
