PURCHASE, N.Y., May 3, 2016 /PRNewswire/ — The Board of Directors of PepsiCo, Inc. (NYSE (NYX): PEP) today declared a quarterly dividend of $0.7525 per share of PepsiCo (PEP) common stock, a 7.1 percent increase versus the comparable year-earlier period. Today’s action is consistent with PepsiCo’s previously announced increase in its annualized dividend to $3.01 per share from $2.81 per share, beginning with the June 2016 payment. The quarterly dividend is payable on June 30, 2016 to shareholders of record at the close of business on June 3, 2016. PepsiCo has paid consecutive quarterly cash dividends since 1965, and 2016 marks the company’s 44th consecutive annual dividend increase.
With this increase, the YOC of my PEP position will be improved to 3.9% from 3.6%. I initiated my PEP position in February 2014. At the time, its quarterly dividend per share was $0.5675. Since then, PEP has raised its quarterly dividend as follwos. 0.5675->0.655->0.7025->0.7525. DAGR since my investment is 9.9%. In other way, the YOC has been increased to 3.9% from 2.9%. This is power of dividend growth investment.
