On May 15, I received the following gross dividend – $57.6 from KMI and $51 from ACN (Accenture). With these dividends, my gross dividend income for May has amounted to $727.86. However, the dividend of ACN is very problematic in terms of tax. First, as ACN is an Irish tax resident company, there is an Irish dividend withholding tax (currently at the rate of 20%) from dividends paid. Then my dear Japanese government has deducted another 21% income tax. Therefore my net dividend income from ACN this time was just $32.53. To make matters worth, ACN pays dividend only twice a year. So I don’t recommend ACN to other dividend investors.
